Blackberry Picking

We live in a great part of the world surrounded by commons, fields and massive countryside. Not to far from the beach.

Throughout the year we can see so many different things, animals, plants and food.

Every so often the countryside does some amazing things.

And we are just starting to explore it all with Baba.

Today we walked the dogs, and came across a beauty of a blackberry bush.

It was massive and the blackberries were amazing.

Hanging there waiting to be picked.

As soon as we finished the dog walk Baba and I went back there with our pots to pick lots of blackberries.

Baba loved looking for the black ones, and he did all the blackberries near the floor while I did the higher ones.

Both of us moving around this massive bush, finding the ripe berries to pick, dropping some, squashing some, trying some.

Just me and Baba.

It was lovely he was decided what to make with the blackberries.

We came up with lots of plans, jam, blackberry crumble, ice cream, milkshakes.

In the end when our hands were purple.

And we had picked all the ripe blackberries we could see, we decided on blackberry jam.

We packed up our boxes and headed on home with our stash of blackberries.

Now we need to clean them and attempt to make Jam for the very first time!
