Beaches and Cities
Our boys have two favourite places in the world.
The beach.
Or a major city.
If you ask our boys where they want to go for a day out their choices will be the beach, or London.
They are country boys, who’s hearts have a slice of London in them.
This week we have spent two afternoons after school at the beach.

They have spent the afternoons running in and out of the water.
Finding shells.
Finding certain stones.
Finding fish as well.
And just basically being free.
And they loved every minute of it.
Today we went on a mystery tour, London was mentioned and the boys were adament to go.
So off we drove.
We go to London regularly, but there is still so much for the boys to explore.
Today we headed to Hamleys for their first time, and Mr L’s first time.
The boys were in awe of everything in Hamleys.
BB was desperate to see Harrods so we walked past Buckingham Palace and walked out way to Harrods.

Again the boys were in awe of the place.
It is something they have never done before and it was great to make memories taking them there.
I love how they behave in London.
When I was younger I had only been a handful of times, but everytime I loved it. I ended up going to university in London and ever since then a part of me will always love London, I would never live there again but I adore the place.
When Mr L and I first got together we went to London and he was a nervous wreck. He hated the tube, and really had seen nothing if London.
I knew I never wanted my boys to be like that.
I took BB to London on my own in the week to London in his pushchair and Boo has been going since he was also in his pushchair.
Both are completely at home in London.
They walk well, well over 10,000 steps when we go. They hop on and off tubes. And BB is finally getting the hang of the tube map.
Both of them can stand in a tube without going flying when if moves.
They aren’t bothered by the crowds, they wait in the queues and they know walking will end up somewhere so they never overly moan.
And they love every where they go.
Whether it is Piccadilly Circus, China Town, Buckingham Palace, or Hamleys.
After taking Mr L to Camden Market for his first time last year, my next plan for the boys in London is to take them there and let them experience one of my favourite places in London.
After that I want to take them to a show up in London as I know they will love it and going around the theatres is another experience you should have.
But what I love most about London is that wherever we go it is somewhere new and exciting, because there is literally so much to see when we are there.
