Back Garden Project

This is currently our back garden!

A mess I know!

So this weekend we are starting on the back garden project. This is going to be a project that may take a long time. Firstly this weekend Mr L is going to dig all off this up and put new turf down! I know, I know you shouldn’t turf a lawn in the summer time, but hopefully with a lot of lawn care and tender loving care our lawn should look lovely. My mum, our gardening expert has told us in no uncertain terms that to get your turf to grow into a nice lawn you are not allowed to let the lawn get dry and to water it regularly to keep the moisture up. I have been told that you need to do this early morning and late evening every day.

So Mr L and I are going to be out there every day with our watering cans watering our garden, to make sure that the roots take and our grass grows!

The second stage of our lawn care involves our dog and his business. We have been thinking about how to keep the grass nice with a dog doing his business on it all day everyday. So we have come up with a plan. Now this may sound mad, but a friend of ours have done it with their dog.

We are going to train him to do his business, in one area of the garden. This area is not yet decided. But hopefully if we train him the same way we potty trained him, we should get him always going to the same place so the whole lawn wont be ruined. So wish us luck on this one! I think we may need it!
