So we are now three weeks into Slimming World, and it has been an interesting three weeks.
I have done Slimming World before, so slipping back into the routine of it, was still not 100% easy but was a lot easier for me than Mr L.
He found the first week hard, and shocking to be honest for what he was actually able to eat.
We have eaten loads, and we are nowhere near where we need to be, and still have a lot of learning to do when it comes to our menus and plans for what we are eating. Which to be honest we are not 100% great at. But we are trying.
I think the biggest change has been the fact that we are actually buying food, and we are eating it!
Rather than just buying it and then getting a takeaway anyway because I can’t be bothered to cook. Which is still a regular occurrence, I think my lack of loving to cook is always going to be a sticking point, as I am not a natural cook, being much more comfortable baking.
But between us we are cooking, and we are preparing and trying to think of different things to eat each day.
But doing it together we are sticking to it, and we are really trying to stick to it.
And it is showing, I am on 9lbs lost and Mr L is just over a stone, which is amazing after just three weeks.
I am surprised how much I am not missing chocolate, as I am a total chocoholic, and in the last few weeks I have discovered that I am really a big lover of spinach and cabbage! Who knew!
The next thing is to really work on both of our drinking of water, as we are both hideous drinkers, and we both need to drink a lot more than we do! And to find some fab new recipes to try!
I think we need to sit down and have a good plan of our meals as well and make sure that we both have things that we fancy and we like and isn’t too difficult to make!
