Mondays are a day I actually love.
It isn’t a day of dreading going to work, I work from home, every day can be a work day, and to be honest I dip in and out of work all day long, so there is never ‘a work day’.
Mondays are mine and Boo’s days.
We rarely see anyone on a monday, instead it is a day where we catch up on the housework, and just mooch to be honest.
It is always a calm day, a day to recover from having Baba at home for two days and Mr L at home for most of the weekend.
Boo always catches up on sleep on Mondays, and as Baba had stopped sleeping by this age, it is a day that I really use to my advantage at the moment.
He doesn’t like to sleep a lot at the weekend, as he really doesn’t like to miss anything. However he still needs a sleep so most Mondays is a catch up day and he will happily have a good two and a half hour nap like he has today.
Meaning that I can get on with the cleaning, washing, sorting the animals and planning the week.
I usually get to do quite a bit of blogging on a Monday.
It’s the start of a new week, new plans, new goals and new ideas.
And I love that!
It is also one of only two days that we are not busy after school. So it is a day where we can come home and generally relax! Something that is a complete rarity now with swimming, visiting nanny and Beavers. That fills up all the days until Friday and most Fridays are filled with friends or getting ready for the weekend. So it really is our quiet day after school.
A day we can actually talk to Baba, find out about his day and hear about the things that he has been up to.
Mondays are also a day that the children are tired as it is back to routine, and they generally go to bed early and then Mr L and I can sit down and watch our TV. Which this time of year is all about The Walking Dead, and a great reason to like Monday’s and a great way to finish of the day curled up on the sofa, just chilling!
So do you like Mondays?
